Account Manager/Inside Sales

(St. Louis, MO  Omaha, NE  Milwaukee, WI)

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Prospect new business opportunities and identify revenue opportunities

2. Generate outbound sales calls to assigned customers account and prospects for the purpose of capitalizing on identified opportunities

3. Field incoming calls to service customers.

4. Provide material and application assistance by determining customer needs and recommending products and/or fabrication services.

5. Read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints for components as provided by customers.

6. Calculate material yields to ensure most efficient use of material and optimize profit margin.

7. Calculate pricing for quotes and orders using market data and intellectual property gained through significant work experience and internal training.

8. Verify/ensure customer credit rating by following company credit protocol.

9. Confer and share information about customers and order status with sales team.

10. Enter customer orders, check stock availability, enter Internal Replenishment orders. Check order status via
company ERP system.

11. Work with Branch Manager, Market Managers when competitive/strategic pricing situations arise.

12. Establish date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of internal and outsource production and delivery schedules.

13. Maintain current knowledge of market/competitive conditions, new products, price changes as well as Key and Target Account projects, business needs, etc.

14. Travel as required to customer sites, trade shows, sales training, company-wide sales meetings.

15. Follow sales related ISO procedures and work instructions as required to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

16. Perform other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

Requires attention to detail and ability to work and interact with others effectively.

Requires ability to deal with customers in a courteous, professional manner.

Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.

Requires ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Ability to sense and relate observations and acquired information to business opportunity.

Education:
4 year College degree or equivalent work experience including thorough knowledge of a specialized field + two years of college.

Experience:
Requires a minimum of 3 years industrial sales experience or 5 years Cope Plastics experience.

Outside Sales

(Atlanta, GA  St. Louis, MO  Dallas, TX  Chicago, IL)

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Travel throughout assigned territory to pursue and acquire new business. Maintain existing business by establishing a relationship through phone calls or personal visits with existing customers.

2. Plan sales activities by developing and following a customer contact plan to maximize utilization of time. Monitor industry and competitor trends by attending vendor meetings, seminars, trade shows or reading industry periodicals.

3. Provide applications assistance by determining customer needs; creating and upgrading product applications to better meet customer needs; and sourcing products for customers.

4. Read and interpret drawings for parts supplied by customers. Calculate yields and pricing for
quotes using standard price lists and formulas. Generate quote for customer by entering pricing and
other information into computer quote system. Follow up on quote by phone.

5. Prepare sales reports, expense reports and other related information as directed.

6. Confer and share information about customers and orders with inside salesperson and branch manager continually in order to work as a team to maximize sales opportunities.

Marginal Functions

1. Ensure established customers are in good credit standing by checking credit in the computer or contacting credit & collections manager for new customers. Check stock availability using computer or by contacting vendor by phone. Enter purchase requisitions into computer to order material not in stock. Enter orders into computer system. Check status of orders using computer.

2. Expedite orders when a problem arises by identifying source of problem and resolving problem.

Education:
Requires a minimum of two years college education or equivalent capabilities.

Experience:
Requires a minimum of one year sales experience.

Cope Plastics, Inc. is an industry leading distributor and custom fabricator of industrial plastics. We have immediate openings for skilled CNC Machinists in our Alton, IL manufacturing facility. We are seeking individuals with expertise in multi-axis CNC Milling (horizontal and vertical) and Turning (standard and 4th axis w/live tooling).


Qualifications include: Minimum of 2 years CNC experience, interpret complex blueprints, G-Code, M-code, use various measuring and inspection tools. Equipment includes Okuma?, Mazak?, Fadal?, and Komo?.
