Cope Plastics, Inc., Godfrey Illinois, is pleased to announce that it recently was named a member of Quality Magazine’s “Quality Leadership 100”, in their September 2006 issue. In fact, Cope Plastics, Inc. was named number 8 overall, out of over 800 companies reviewed, a Top 1% level!

Quality Magazine evaluated these more than 800 companies on such Quality criteria as scrap, rework as a percentage of sales, warranty costs as a percentage of sales, rejected parts per million shipped, and contribution of quality to Profitability and Shareholder Value.

Cope Plastics, Inc. was independently re-certified in 2006 as ISO 9001:2000 registered, after first obtaining independent certification in 1999. In 2005, the St. Louis Graphics Conversion location was also independently certified as ISO 9001:2000 registered. In 2007, Cope Plastics Inc. is beginning a 2 year project, with the goal being all 16 Cope Sales Branch locations ISO compliant by the end of 2008. Cope Plastics also plans on having its Cedar Rapids fabrication location ISO registered by the end of 2007.

Cope Plastics Inc. is a privately held company, which celebrated its 60th year of service to the plastics industry in 2006, employs over 350 employees, with 16 Branch Sales offices, two Manufacturing Facilities (Godfrey IL, Cedar Rapids IA), and one Graphics Conversion Facility (St. Louis), all strategically located throughout the Midwest USA.
