Riverbend Area Recycling Event Hosted by Local Businesses

Cope Plastics, Inc. – Alton, IL. Is teaming up with local businesses to hold an Area-Wide Recycling Day for the community. Friday, November 16th and Saturday, November 17th, members of the Riverbend community can recycle those household items that are typically hard to dispose of.

Both Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am until Noon, items can be dropped off at the following three locations:

Corner of Tolle Lane & Godfrey Road (Across from Dairy Queen) – Godfrey, IL

CJD E-cycling will be accepting the following items at this location: flat-screen TVs, laptops, audio/video equipment, game consoles, and household electronics. CRT, projection, plasma, and console TVs will also be accepted for a fee of $5-30, depending on the size. Oasis Women’s Center will be accepting used cell phones.

Cope Plastics Processing Center – 5033 Humbert Road – Alton, IL

The following items will be accepted at this location: eye glasses, pill bottles, shoes, and industrial plastics. Examples of industrial plastics include: Indoor/Outdoor long-and-short-term signage, Windows / Doors, Tables / Chairs, Whiteboards, Display cases, Chair mats, Desktop sorters, Cutting boards, Playground Equipment, and much more! Maw Salvage – 1020 Fosterburg Road – Brighton, IL

The following items will be accepted at this location: Scrap Metal, including aluminum, copper, brass, lead, tin, cast iron, and much more.
