Acetal

Acetal (POM)

Acetal is a widely used engineering plastic with excellent strength and rigidity. Its dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, and hard surface make Acetal a great choice for tight tolerance machined parts. Acetal also has good wear resistance when wet, and is FDA, USDA, and 3-A Dairy compliant. Acetal is available in both a homopolymer and a copolymer formulation. The Homopolymer formulation (Delrin) offers slightly higher strength and hardness; while the Copolymer is porosity free and has improved chemical and hot water resistance.

Formulations: Copolymer Acetal, Delrin Acetal, Glass Filled 20% Acetal, Delrin AF 15% PTFE, Delrin AF 588, Delrin 500 CL Acetal, Electrostatic Dissipative Acetal, Conductive Acetal.
