PTFE
About PTFE
PTFE is a fluoropolymer that exhibits unmatched chemical resistance. It is insoluble in nearly all organics and can be used at temperatures exceeding 550ºF. PTFE has an extremely low coefficient of friction, and excellent impact properties. PTFE is not melt processable, and must be produced using molding, ram extrusion, and skiving technologies. It can be compounded with a wide variety of materials such as Glass, Graphite, Carbon, Molybdenum Disulphide, and Bronze to enhance its characteristics. PTFE also possesses exceptional electrical properties.
